The Senior Salesforce Business Analyst will have diverse responsibilities primarily focused on technology and system implementations, delivering automation and improving our operational infrastructure. Business Analysts (BAs) help improve processes and efficiency by understanding business needs, capturing the project requirements, and collaborating/communicating with stakeholders to support project implementation. BAs work effectively with both people and information to facilitate a solution to a problem.
We are looking for someone highly organized who can manage multiple responsibilities, ability to connect the dots between business operational teams and IT, and someone who has the ability to thrive in ambiguity to produce high-quality work. Responsibilities include:
Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, and communication. May engage with Change Management/Communications teams to plan for project launches
Support creation and maintenance of project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; work with project stakeholders to adjust schedules and plans as needed, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success
Work with business teams and business process teams to understand business needs and translate into clear, detailed documentation (requirements and/or business test cases)
Advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet the business requirements and provide a positive user experience
Drive systems-related project execution in direct partnership with IT (system administrators and development scrum teams)
A typical day may include:
Facilitating cross-functional project team discussions to drive to a consensus on a topic or requirement
Coordinating and leading UATs, or performing UAT in a sandbox for an enhancement
Setting up and facilitating meetings to understanding business pain points and questions, then synthesizing the meeting and sending out meeting decisions and action items
Reading existing documentation and running reports to look for insights in the data to investigate issues
Documenting issues found, then reviewing with a project team for feedback
Tracking/following up on questions from various meetings to ensure follow up and closure of open issues and risks
Partnering with the project PMO to give project updates, highlight project risks, and building decks
Required Skills/Experience:
4+ years of Business Analyst experience, or focus in Project/Program management
Experience with and understanding of the Salesforce platform; demonstrated knowledge of Salesforce capabilities/potential to provide solutions to business problems
Able to produce high quality, detailed and thorough analysis documentation in order to present information effectively and clearly to stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
Ability to become a trusted advisor with key stakeholders
Familiarity with Salesforce or software implementation lifecycle
Desired Skills/Experience:
Sales Operations or Business Operations experience is a major plus
Systems Analyst or Consulting experience preferred
Proven success and experience with a complex, enterprise-wide project
Advanced Knowledge of Business Systems and Salesforce.com certifications
Bachelors’ degree in business, computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business (both business and technical-facing), and engage on projects from beginning to end; along with effective interpersonal skills
Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
Able to work independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts with close attention to detail
Strong organization and project management skills to keep projects on track and moving toward the end business goal
Demonstrated ability to break down a complex business process and break down into manageable steps.
Able to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Team player with collaborative methods of engagement, and an inquisitive, positive, roll-up sleeves attitude.
